Our mission is to support both established and emerging photographers while fostering community engagement through exhibitions, educational initiatives, and curated events.
To safeguard Ukraine's photographic heritage, we are planning to establish an archive and conduct comprehensive research into the nation's photographic history.
We extend an open invitation to the general public—particularly local communities, veterans, and the youth—to actively participate in our activities. By cultivating inclusivity and collaboration, we aim to create a dynamic platform for artistic expression, societal reflection, interdisciplinary learning, and, emphasizing the unifying and transformative potential of photography in Ukraine.
Exhibitions
We will hold regular exhibitions showcasing a diverse range of photographic works, highlighting cultural, social, and political aspects of Ukraine.
These exhibitions will feature various photography genres, including art, documentary, fashion, architecture, portrait, and historical photography, exploring both Ukrainian and international works. Additionally, we aim to showcase Ukrainian photographers on international stages to raise awareness and interest for Ukraine's talent.

workshops
We will offer workshops, lectures, and seminars for photographers at all levels.
We will host events, collaborations, and outreach programs to foster a deeper appreciation for the art of photography within Ukraine. We will be covering techniques, studies, history, curation and the business of photography. Furthermore, we aim to provide resources and support, including grants, residencies, and networking opportunities for photographers, and build a library presenting a vast collection of books dedicated to the art of photography.

WE WILL HOST THE FIRST SHOP SOLELY FOCUSED ON PHOTOBOOKS IN UKRAINE.
Sens, led by its founder Oleksiy Erinchak, a prominent figure in Ukrainian book retail, is set to launch a comprehensive photo book store at the future Ukrainian House of Photography. The store will showcase a curated selection of Ukrainian art and photography books, alongside works from renowned international publishers such as Steidl, Taschen, Phaidon, and Aperture.

Kateryna Radchenko
Curation and Research
Kateryna is a curator and researcher who has curated exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad and contributed to international publications. She served as a juror for the World Press Photo Award and spearheaded research projects, including a study on Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit which was exhibited at Mystetskyi Arsenal in Kyiv.
Sasha Maslov
Operations, Development and Founder
Sasha is a Ukrainian-American photographer based between Kyiv and New York. As a founder of the Ukrainian House of Photography, he fosters international connections for the Ukrainian photography community. His work is exhibited across Europe and the U.S. and featured in major publications like The New York Times and The Washington Post.
Marc Wilkins
Real Estate and Founder
Marc is a Swiss film director, developer and cultural activist based in Kyiv. Known for his Oscar-shortlisted film Bon Voyage, Marc also co-founded The Naked Room Gallery, and developed the art collection for the Sophia Hotel. He is the founder of The Reytarska Circle, in the heart of Kyiv, promoting contemporary community- and gastro-culture.

Based in Kyiv, Hnat is a senior-level manager in the field of culture, a legal expert and an organizational transformation and development specialist.

Architect
Crimean but based in Kyiv, Emil Dervish is recognized for his expertise in creating spaces with cultural and social significance. He designed the gallery The Naked Room and led the revitalization of a modernist building in the heart of Kyiv, The Reytarska Circle.

Kateryna Radchenko
Ukrainian curator, artist, and photography researcher. She founded and directs the Odesa Photo Days Festival, established in 2015. She has studied photography in France, Poland, and the USA. Kateryna has curated exhibitions in Ukraine and internationally, including South Korea, Sweden, France, and the UK, and published in platforms like Fotograf, FOAM Magazine, and the British Journal of Photography. She co-authored "The Images Tell Stories" with the Finnish Museum of Photography and contributed to the 2022 "The Information Front" publications.
Kateryna specializes in researching and promoting Ukrainian photography, with experience in vernacular photography, archival work, and teaching. From 2015 to 2017, she researched Ukrainian photography history in Odesa, Kryvyi Rih, and Dnipro. In 2019, she led a research project on Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit, culminating in the "Overcoming Gravity" exhibition at the Art Arsenal.Kateryna’s focus at the instituion is research, curation and preservation of Ukrainian photography.

Sasha Maslov
Ukrainian-American portrait and documentary photographer based between Kyiv and New York. Born in Kharkiv, Sasha grew up between Ukraine and the USA. As a key founder of the NGO, he shapes its strategy, cultivates international relations between Ukraine and the global photocommunity and serves as a key representative of the Ukrainian photography community.
Sasha’s work has been exhibited at prominent venues and galleries across Europe and the United States. He regularly contributes to leading publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, and Die Zeit.
He is recognized for his three photobooks: Veterans: Faces of the Second World War (2017, Princeton Architectural Press), Ukrainian Railroad Ladies (2020, Osnovy Publishing House), and Saints (2024, IST_publishing).

Marc Wilkins
Swiss film director and cultural activist who has lived in Kyiv since 2016.
Driven by the belief that photography, as one of Ukraine’s most accessible forms of expression, needs a strong institutional platform, Marc co-established the NGO and oversees the research, funding, and development of the project's physical space.
His work has earned international recognition, including a shortlist for the 89th Academy Awards for Bon Voyage. In Kyiv, Marc co-founded and financed The Naked Room Gallery, which represented Ukraine at the 2022 Venice Biennale. He is the creative director behind the art collection at Sophia Hotel and the founder of The Reytarska Circle, a revitalized post-modern space promoting contemporary gastro culture.
